Season
There is really no bad season to cycle in northern Vietnam; the winters are a bit cooler and damper, and the summers hotter and steamier. March, April and May are somewhat in between. Bring a light rain jacket, as there can be rain or drizzle at any time of the year in northern Vietnam, This trip can really be run during any month of the year.

Service
During the bike trip, a van follows us with spare parts (and spare seats), and a well-qualified Vietnamese biking guide/mechanic as well as a Western guide are along to make sure the going is smooth. Meals are taken either in local homestays, restaurants or hotels, and the accommodation en route is in nice hotels or homestays.

Four-day Sea Kayaking trip at Halong Bay

This ride is a spectacular one, quite difficult due to the mountainous terrain, but not technical as it is mostly on sealed road (to better enjoy the scenery!). There is a lot of elevation change during the ride and there are demanding climbs at times (with the support vehicle always in back of the group). The trip is designed for enthusiasts with a good level of fitness; the average distance covered during the day is over 60 kilometers, and the total distance of the ride is 850 kilometers.
