"The ride from Lhasa to Kathmandu defies superlatives. The countryside
covers an amazing range from barley filled valleys, dramatic
arid passes, the grandeur of Everest to the almost unreal
descent into the greenery of Nepal clinging to the walls
of steep river gorges. However, what impressed me most about
the trip was how completely I could focus on just riding
the bike and experiencing the surroundings. Mads and the
support staff did a great job (despite a number of logistical
challenges) and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in
the task of riding through the spectacular and challenging
terrain."
