IntroComprising almost the entire southern half of South America, Argentina is the world's eighth largest country and the second largest country in South America.
Argentina is legendary for its stunning and diverse landscapes and is home to the highest and lowest points in South America! Mt Aconcagua at 6963 metres above sea level is the highest point in Argentina, the Andes Mountains and the Southern Hemisphere. The lowest point in Argentina and all South America is found at Laguna del Carbon in Santa Cruz, 105 meters below sea level!
Believe us, Argentina has everything in between! The country can be roughly divided into four parts: the subtropical flats of the Gran Chaco in the north; the rugged Andes Mountain Range that runs along the western border with Chile; the fertile plains of the Pampas in the centre of the country; and last but certainly not least, legendary Patagonia in the southern half of the country down to Tierra del Fuego.
